When your customer decides to enjoy an evening out with some fine dining, you need to realize that it is not just about the food. It is about the decor and the ambience too. In fact it is critical. That said here are some tips for choosing the right restaurant chairs and furniture for your establishment.

The tips provided are aimed at helping you create that ambiance. However before starting you need to set your budget because wishful thinking is just a waste of your valuable time.

Indoors Or Outdoors

First you need to determine the location of your restaurant furniture. If your furniture is going to be outside you will need to make choices that will reflect the weather and other conditions it will be exposed to.

You will also want furniture that is easy to move around, so booths probably are not a good choice. If you are putting the restaurant furniture indoors you can go with furniture that doesn't have to be moved around often so booths would be fine. The elements aren't important indoors. You can choose whatever it is you want in style and material.

Seating Furniture

When you seat your guests it is really all about comfort. Of course you want it to look good too, but not at the price of comfort. You can decide if you want free standing seats or cozy benches. For example, if you have a long wall area you might put in a large curved bench to utilize your space best.

If you are going for free standing there are three important things to consider. First they need to be stable so no wiggly chairs or tables. Second they need to be strong so that if someone larger sits down they don't find themselves going through the chair. Third they need to be comfortable which can be accomplished by choosing a padded upholstered chair.

Bar Stools

If you have a well stocked bar they will come so you need good bar stools that are comfortable, and contribute to your ambiance. You could use a soft vinyl seat if you want comfort and you want customers to say awhile.

Or if you want customers to stay for a drink or two at the bar and then move into eating areas you might want to make your seats wood or metal. For example if your bar is trendy you might consider a bar stool like the GM Al Bombo SD240 which is a very trendy looking low back chair that swivels and is adjustable in height.

Tables

You are going to have to have tables if you want to serve your guests food. You always want your tables to be sturdy and roomy enough. You don't want soup or coffee spilling because of a wobbly table. And you don't want your guests rubbing elbows either. You can choose tables that can be moved up or down to adjust to different heights.

You can choose from all different table tops including wood, glass, and even steel. Oak, cherry, beechwood, and mahogany are all very popular. For example the BV Thomas V673/1 is a great looking beechwood round table that's just beautiful to look at.

These tips for choosing restaurant furniture will get you started in purchasing the right restaurant furniture. Remember it really is all about the mood, the ambiance, and the budget. You want it to feel warm and inviting, look great, and be comfortable.
