Not every varifocal is the same . Save money by knowing some basics. Ask your opticain which type of back surface varifocal they do.
A back surface lenses 90% of the time work very well.
If this is out of your price range ask for the most up to date design in your budget . Opticains are still selling varifocal designs 15 -20 years old!
For it to work well keep to this rule. If your RX is plus (long sighted) choice should be a short corrdor .. If your RX is negative choice should be a longer corror.

If Your opticains does not give you the information you need . Leave and find an independant
