Hello all.
There are a few tips I want to share in order to buy from a local florist service in Mexico. And also to give some hints on how we can make sure that our gifts will arrive on time within Mexico.
I have many friends in Mexico and it has been quite a challenge to get flowers and gifts the way I like it. So I've been shopping around sometime and I think my expertise can help others.
Buying directly to local services is not as difficult as it seems. There are at least 3 suppliers that offer customer service in English, where one is on top and is very easy to find on the web. Also, their websites are fare enough translated and they are honestly willing to help you with your shopping.
Here are my hints:
1. Send them an email with your requests (in English) and see how they respond. There are companies that will discard your email if they see that it is in English. You don't want to deal with them. OR if you can write in Spanish, much better.
2. Ask them if they provide same day delivery on flowers. Only same day delivery florists are working with fresh flowers. Some of them will relay the order to another florist, but the must important.
3. Also ask them if they can confirm the delivery and if they sent delivery confirmations.
4. In case of corporate gifts and gift baskets, find out who do they work for shipping and ask them if they will give you a shipping tracking code for you to check online.
5. Test their online chat service. Ring the bell and ask them something in English. If you get a fast and fare answer then you have better chances to get what you really want
6. Check for testimonies within their website.
7. Ask for a local phone where you can reach them. Ask them where are they located.
8. And finally, do your shopping with at least 2 days in advance.
In my experience 3 companies are doing a great job delivering flowers and gifts in Mexico:
Floralliance,
Premium Florist and my favorite
Fiorence. The three are located in Mexico. They have been very responsive and have good pricing. For gifts I recommend
Outletregalo. All these sites have a Spanish and English version of their shopping websites.
Hope this information is helpful.
Kind Regards
Isabel Thompson
