Companies often charge hundreds if not thousands for their most basic SEO "package", which is often just "on site SEO" which can take no longer than 2 or 3 hours. Today I show you how to do some of the basics. Basic HTML knowledge is required

Action Steps
The best contacts and resources to help you get it done

Convert your keywords into headings and make them strong

Convert any keywords into headings. Headings are the H1, H2 etc tags. Make your main page keyword the only H1 tag, and put it near the top of the page. Separate each paragraph/content area with H2's/H3's etc. Now find other keywords and put or tags around them.

I recommend: A good guide about if you should use bold or Strong

Make a good title tag and SE friendly urls

This will help in two ways - SEO, and get more clicks when it is displayed in the search engine rankings. Put a good keyword in the title tag. For the URLs, make sure you put keywords in them. For example, rather than http://example.com/index.php?id=2149&cat=1jf2n, use http://example.com/drinks/orange-drinks/

I recommend: Use this guide for mod rewrites, for search friendly urls.
