Feelin' stuck with the same old boring brew? Try these tips to liven up your mornin' cuppa joe.
  1. Use Clean Equipment: Over time, dirty equipment will slowly ruin the taste of your coffee. Be sure to clean your machine with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar. Then run an only water pot through to clean out the vinegar.
  2. Use the Best Water: Tap water is a big no-no. You might as well stop wasting your money on gourmet beans, and go back to Folders. Be sure to use purified, spring-water if possible.
  3. Use the Appropriate Grind: For most drip makers, this would be a consistent, medium grind. Too course, and you'll have a week coffee. Too fine, and you'll have something too strong to drink. Unless you like it extra strong of course :)
  4. Don't Let It Sit: If you drink coffee all day, make many, smaller pots. Letting a pot of coffee sit for hours ruins the taste, as the coffee takes on a burnt flavor. You're basically cooking it if you allow this to happen. Bad news :(
