As an auto insurance agent, I struggled with bringing traffic to my website and my physical location.

If you do not have a website, I highly suggest that you launch a website. Your website should of course include your company information, brief history of your agency as well as information on the companies that you sell.

Having an “auto insurance tools” section on your website will also help bring traffic and will give consumers the assistance a live agent will give. In your tools section, you should explain all coverage such as liability coverage property damage, bodily injury etc.

Having an informational website is good, but having a functional website is better. It can be very helpful to have real time auto insurance quote capabilities on your website. Take a look at http://www.onlineautoinsurance.com/. It has multiple features that help drive traffic. It lets you obtain quotes from multiple companies by completing a quick form.

Another feature is to have sections leading to information on making claims and inquiring on service. Once you have a great website, now you need the traffic.

The best and cheapest way to bring traffic to you site is to optimize for search. You most likely would have to have a professional to that part. It is a long term investment; however, it can bring quality targeted traffic ready to purchase your product.

There is multiple pay per click campaigns that can be successful if you manage it correctly, but it can also be a bad investment if you do not run it correctly. Ask a professional to give you a crash course or read a book on running a successful campaign.

Writing auto insurance articles have also proved to be a successful means of traffic. The key, however, is to write useful and quality articles that someone can actually use. Do not sound like a salesman, pretend you’re helping a family member know more about auto insurance and write a quality, helpful article.

Last but not least, publish press releases once a month. Your press release should be about a useful piece of news. Write about something that interests you and will most likely interest a reader. With all in place and a bit of patience, your traffic should increase month by month and will lead to quality traffic and drive sales.
